Indiana Civics Summit & Educator Convening

The Indiana Bar Foundation and iCivics invite you to attend the 2026 Indiana Civics Summit & Educator Convening! This one-day conference includes national, regional, state, and local leaders representing government, education, business, nonprofits, and the legal community. This year’s sessions include a showcase of Indiana’s civic health, America’s 250th anniversary, civility, and youth engagement.

This year, we are excited to have the iCivics annual Educator Convening alongside the Summit, bringing together Hoosiers from all industries – education, law, nonprofit, academia, business, and more – who are supporting our civic improvement.

Throughout the day, you’ll hear dynamic plenary sessions featuring some of Indiana’s leading changemakers. Panel discussions will explore the latest civic health data from the 2025 Indiana Civic Health Report, highlight current civic education policies shaping the state, and dive into the significance of America250 as the nation approaches its 250th anniversary.

You’ll gain fresh insights, practical perspectives, and new connections — all while leaving inspired and equipped to help bring people together and strengthen civic life in your community.

Educators

Educators are invited to take part in a dedicated learning track designed specifically with classroom impact in mind. In partnership with iCivics, this event offers engaging sessions where educators from across the country can explore timely civics topics and participate in hands-on breakout workshops built to deliver ready-to-use lessons, tools, and instructional strategies.

Workshop topics include — but are not limited to — Civil Discourse, Supreme Decision simulations, Media and Information Literacy, Inquiry for All Learners, Foreign Policy, DBQuest, Ethical AI, and Exploring iCivics Resources. Each session is designed to provide practical takeaways that educators can immediately bring back to their classrooms.
