The Indiana Bar Foundation is excited to present the 2026 Annual Meeting & Awards Luncheon. Every year, it hosts this exclusive event to celebrate the achievements of outstanding individuals in the past fiscal year and honor those who continue to uphold the values and principles that guide the Bar Foundation’s mission. This year, three phenomenal individuals whose work has advanced civic education and civil legal assistance were honored.

  • The Honorable Paul D. Mathias is the 2026 recipient of the Legend Award, the Indiana Bar Foundation’s most prestigious honor. Judge Mathias is a staple in Indiana’s civic community, actively advocating for civic education and proving himself to be an asset to the Indiana Bar Foundation through his contributions to the We the People program. Sitting on the Indiana Court of Appeals, Judge Mathias has been integral in upholding the integrity of Indiana’s legal system.
  • Amanda Antey is the 2026 recipient of the Champion of Civic Education Award. Amanda has crafted a long career in civic education for middle and high school students. As a teacher, Amanda is proud that through the We the People program, she can provide her students with knowledge and opportunities that were unavailable to her as a student. Her selfless work and outstanding performance make her a model recipient of this award.
  • Monica A. Fennell is the 2026 recipient of the Champion of Civil Legal Assistance Award. Monica is Senior Pro Bono Counsel at Faegre Drinker, who has advocated for and participated in the expansion of legal assistance opportunities across Indiana. Her work with hundreds of pro bono volunteers over the course of her career has made her stand out as an exemplary professional and passionate purveyor of civil legal assistance.

“The Foundation continues to take pride in recognizing individuals whose incredible work reflects the goals and values of our organization. We hope their stories and dedication inspire others to pursue their careers with the level of passion exemplified by our honorees,” said President & CEO Chuck Dunlap.
