Civic Learning Week

March 9–13 is Civic Learning Week, and we’re proud to celebrate a week that reflects the heart of our mission at the Indiana Bar Foundation. Our work focuses on advancing civic education for Hoosiers across the state—whether through flagship programs like We the People, High School Mock Trial, and Indiana Kids Election, or by partnering with civic leaders and researchers to expand public understanding through initiatives like the Indiana Civic Health Index and many other efforts.

Civic Learning Week helps elevate civic education as a national priority—one that strengthens communities and supports a healthy democracy. We’re also honored to share that the Indiana Supreme Court, Governor Mike Braun, and the Court of Appeals have all recognized and supported this important work. They have issued proclamations acknowledging Civic Learning Week and the essential role civic education plays in our communities.
