75th Anniversary Gala Celebration

Celebrating 75 Years of Impact

On Friday, October 3, 2025, the Indiana Bar Foundation proudly celebrated its 75th Anniversary at the historic Indiana Roof Ballroom alongside more than 200 of our most dedicated supporters.

Guests enjoyed an evening filled with community and celebration—bidding on silent auction treasures from across Indiana, trying their luck at a wine pull featuring over 60 mystery bottles, and savoring a curated bourbon experience.

Together, we united in support of the Foundation’s mission and vision. With our first-ever text-to-donate campaign, we surpassed our $25,000 goal—raising an incredible $130,000 through the generosity of our sponsors and supporters.

It was truly a momentous occasion, and we are deeply grateful to everyone who made it possible. Here’s to the next 75 years of advancing civic education and civil legal assistance across Indiana.

Thank You for Joining Us — Our Open House Series Wraps Up with Gratitude and Excitement!

This year, the Foundation set out on a mission to connect with our supporters across Indiana in bold, new ways — and what an incredible journey it’s been! From the banks of the Ohio River in Evansville to the shores of Lake Michigan in Northwest Indiana, our Open House Series brought us face-to-face with the amazing people who fuel our mission.

We’re deeply grateful to everyone who joined us, shared their stories, and helped build new bridges within our community. The connections we made were truly inspiring, and we’re just getting started.

Mission: The Indiana Bar Foundation inspires and leads change to improve civic education and legal assistance for all Hoosiers.

Vision: To be the premier statewide charitable organization and trusted partner advancing civic literacy and the legal system

Celebrating 75 Years

Thank You To Our 75th Anniversary Sponsors!

  • “We the People is the reason I became a social studies teacher. The course, supplemented by required
involvement in the academic team, uncovered my zest for researching, writing, and communicating. It revealed the merits of learning communities and self-efficacy. Today, the We the People experience defines me as a teacher as I now coach my own team and apply the program precepts throughout my teaching. This program offers invaluable learning experiences through competition and student-driven learning, propelling participants to exponential growth.”

  • “Pro Bono Indiana (PBI) is a creation of the work of the Indiana Bar Foundation. The state’s pro bono system was at one time exclusively funded through IOLTA support managed by the Foundation. For the past six years, PBI has worked in partnership with the Foundation to expand the funds available for civil legal services for its own services and those of our many partner providers across the state. One of the highlights of the Foundation’s support that is unique to PBI is their operation of the Indiana Free Legal Answers platform, which the Foundation transitioned to PBI in 2019.”

  • “The Indiana Bar Foundation supports Indiana Legal Services (ILS) by distributing Civil Legal Aid Fund money and with a grant from the Interest on Lawyers’ Trust Accounts (IOLTA) program amounting to more than $1.2 million in 2024. This funding is general operating support, which is invaluable because it allows them to spend the money where it’s most needed. This money supports many ILS lawyers statewide who assist families and individuals who are facing eviction.”
